Had a test in English today. We were being re-introduced to writing letters and envelopes. Last week, we had to fold letters for short and long envelopes, learn how to write inside addresses and we had to do it perfect - or as close to her standards as possible - or else we had to do the entire letter over. We also can't have any scratch-outs, white-outs or obvious write-overs or we have to write the whole thing over again. And again. And again.
Anyway, she taught us how to properly fold letters by leaving a margin at the top small enough so the flap of the envelope doesn't scrape against it. I thought I mastered it. Test came. We had to re-write a letter we just did for homework on blank paper again remembering the margins, but she only cared mainly about the format today - still couldn't scratch out anything though. It took me so long to finish that letter because I messed up so many times that the period was over before I knew it. I still didn't do the three inside addresses or folded/finished writing the letter or filled out the envelope. And those that didn't finish had to stay or leave with an incomplete.
So, I half-assed it. Wrote sloppily, turned it in and went to homeroom just in time for it over and go to third period. Probably failed because the letter wouldn't fit. Bah!
Good thing she's my class in the morning.
